I'll be doing this cycle sportive around the Scottish Borders in memory of Eilidh Neave. 

Eilidh was a delightful girl; intelligent, funny, beautiful inside and out. She was my little boy's girlfriend and much-loved classmate. Devastatingly for all those who knew her, she contracted meningitis whilst on holiday with her family and died at the young age of 8.

We will all miss Eilidh terribly and cannot imagine what life without her must be like for her family. In her memory, it seems fitting to raise money for Meningitis now, an organisation who help families such as the Neaves in the aftermath of illness and death from meningitis.
